Acquisition board handles 16 channels of
RF

The Lyrtech VHS-ADC-V4 is the latest in the VHS range of high speed Virtex-4 based multichannel input/output cards.

Available now from Kane Computing, the Lyrtech VHS-ADC-V4 is the latest in the VHS range of high speed Virtex-4 based multichannel input/output cards This higher speed member of the multichannel cPCI data acquisition line of products is specifically targeted at advanced multiple input/multiple output (MIMO) technologies

The VHS-ADC-V4 is claimed to be the only solution worldwide that can acquire 16 RF channels and process them to IF and baseband levels.

The VHS-ADC-V4 can be used with other Lyrtech DSP/FPGA boards such as the SignalMaster Quad.

Equipped with 8 to 16 channels capable of a maximum sampling rate of 105MHz, a customisable range of powerful Xilinx Virtex-4 FPGA for high-speed processing, and model-based design capabilities, the VHS-ADC-V4 allows its users to create state-of-the art embedded solutions for applications such as smart antenna, beam forming, wireless router, software-defined radio, geolocation, space-time processing, as well as phased-array radar, and other multichannel high-speed systems.

"Combined with its board software package, the VHS-ADC-V4 offers ease of interfacing and advanced design flow capabilities".

"Fully integrated with The MathWorks environment Matlab and the Xilinx System Generator for DSP, the solution allows users to develop a functional prototype of their applications quickly and to optimise code and final hardware through efficient paths", states Louis Belanger, Lyrtech Executive Vice President and Product Development Manager.

"The push towards higher bandwidths for mobile users, the development of higher-speed wireless LAN (802.11n), and the implementation of the next generation of wireless systems are driving the use of smart antenna/MIMO systems", added Miguel Caron, Lyrtech President and Chief Executive Officer.

"We developed the VHS-ADC-V4 in response to the need for an advanced platform that is specifically adapted to facilitate smart antenna development".

"There is a significant market for this product on a stand-alone basis, or combined with our SignalMaster Quad cPCI platforms for a complete high-performance DSP solution". Request a free brochure from Kane Computing ...
