The KG8 and KG9 are two new cable glands from KEC that provide high levels of electrical and environmental protection.

The KG8 and KG9 are two new cable glands from KEC that provide high levels of electrical and environmental protection at entry points of instrument racks, boxes, enclosures, cabinets, panels and bulkheads while avoiding the use of expensive and labour-intensive inline connectors Both use a reworkable band clamp to provide high levels of overall screening and EMC performance while the KG9 also provides individual screening

This is achieved by interweaving a special mesh braid through the individual screens, around the cable bundle and through a slot in the gland body.

This is then tightened and terminated against a spigot.

Lightweight and compact, the KG8 and KG9 provide a highly cost effective EMC solution for any application where a screen needs to be terminated at penetration point while allowing access to individual conductors.

Environmental protection is provided by an O-ring and heat shrink boot.
