Tempest high performance level EMC backshell
The KC 2300 is a series of high performance EMC backshells that provides excellent protection including Tempest levels but is reduced in sizeand weight from other backshells in the range.
The KG4 has the capability for screening individual wires by interweaving and winding in a special braid that is secured by the braid trap nut either separately or in conjunction with an overall screen.
This method provides the highest levels of performance and protection without any of the drawbacks associated with other methods such as solder sleeves, daisychains or pigtails.
Production and rework times are minimised with the KG glands because of the simple mechanical methods used.
They are supplied as standard in aluminium alloy and finished in electroless nickel with other materials and finishes available to special order.
Sealing to the panel is by O-ring and to the cable by heat shrink boot.
The KG3 and KG4 are highly cost-effective, lightweight and compact and are suitable for a wide range of applications including instrumentation and communications systems.
