Data acquisition upgrades to 32bit
ActiveX

Keithley Instruments has released version 4.0 of its test and measurement data acquisition environment TestPoint.

Keithley Instruments has released version 4.0 of its test and measurement data acquisition environment TestPoint It integrates the ongoing work in 32bit ActiveX technology in order to provide a wealth of new capabilities for a growing number of loyal users

Not only does 4.0 provide the ability to add third-party ActiveX controls right into test applications, the newest built-in objects are based on the same new technology.

When TestPoint Version 4.0 starts, both 16 and 32bit tasks are created to handle legacy features while simultaneously hosting new 32bit technology.

ActiveX or OCX components, are programmed to an industry standard.

These software components have preprogrammed options and many custom settings.

Now with the release of TestPoint 4.0 users just drag and drop, and with a couple of mouse clicks you add any of the hundreds of third party ActiveX controls.

A wide variety of features such as dials, meters, sliders, notebook tabs, spreadsheets, graph and database components may be inexpensively purchased.

Version 4.0 contains twelve new objects, ten of which are OCX controls.

Three objects have been provided with enhanced capabilities.

All the new OCX objects support custom colours, fonts, bitmap backgrounds, multiple displays, colour bands, save and restore, multiple events and more.

Version 4.0 provides an interface to the leading advanced research and educational math analysis software, MATLAB from MathWorks, Inc.

A new MATLAB object is included, as well as examples and scripts for access to, and for control of TestPoint from within MATLAB.

Use of the TestPoint and MATLAB interface requires Version 4.0 or above, and MATLAB 5.0 or above, and assumes the programmers familiarity with MATLAB commands and usage. Request a free brochure from Keithley Instruments ...
