PCIbus cards handle heavyweight
acquisition
A new range of PCIbus isolated digital I/O cards provide high-level digital sensing and switching (up to 60V and 350mA) that are beyond the capacity of traditional TTL digital I/O cards.
A new range of isolated PCIbus digital I/O cards provide high-level digital sensing and switching (up to 60V and 350mA) that are beyond the capacity of traditional TTL digital I/O cards With 32 and 16 channels, respectively, the KPCI-PIO32IOA and KPCI-PDISO8A from Keithley Instruments can handle a wide variety of 12, 24 and 48V loads common to relays, motors, alarms, lamps, machine vision, and robotic systems

Waveform software upgrades to wireless standards
Click-and-drag objects-based approach allows RF engineers to intuitively create basic and complex waveforms using graphical objects.
RF tools ease WiMAX signal testing
Keithley's Model 2820 RF vector signal analyser and Model 2920 RF vector signal generator enable users to test WiMAX in any frequency band between 400MHz and 4GHz
In addition, the KPCI-PIO32IOA and KPCI-PDISO8A use the same software and addressing as Keithley's comparable ISAbus boards, providing a smooth software transition for users who must upgrade to PCI architecture.
The KPCI-PIO32IOA and KPCI-PDISO8A are optically isolated and offer high- voltage transient protection that protects the computer from external noise spikes.
Both cards are capable of direct, nonpolarised switching and sensing in the range of 0-60V DC or 0-30V AC RMS, and can handle loads up to 350mA.
Solid-state switching is ideal for continuous process applications, with longer life and lower maintenance than mechanical relays.
A maximum contact on-resistance of only four ohms helps minimize the required voltage overhead and power draw on customer-supplied equipment.
Industry-standard IEEE1284 connectors offer convenient snap-on connections that are compatible with shielded cables.
These cards also contain selectable low pass input filters for greater noise immunity in noisy industrial environments.
External interrupt/latching capability allows digital inputs to be synchronised with other signals in a test and measurement system.
A 32bit DriverLinx software package is bundled with the KPCI-PIO32IOA and KPCI-PDISO8A, and includes test panel, ExceLinx, DLLs, and ActiveX-based drivers for use with programming languages such as Visual Basic, Visual C/C++, Delphi, LabView and TestPoint.
