Kingston Technology has revealed that its sales for 2003 reached $1.8 billion - rising more than 10% year on year.

Kingston Technology has revealed that its sales for 2003 reached $1.8 billion - rising more than 10% year on year.

Over the past year, Kingston Technology placed greater emphasis on its ValueRAM, Digital Media and OEM divisions.

Sales exceeded expectations with each market segment performing exceptionally well.

The company also broadened its global production focus, revealing plans to increase its manufacturing capacity by expanding facilities in Shanghai, China.

The new manufacturing facility will be more than 18,500m2 and is expected to be ready in early 2005.

"By empowering employees to attain their goals and in developing close partnerships with key memory suppliers, we were able to introduce new levels of service and product quality to the memory market in 2003", said John Tu, President, Kingston Technology.
