The newly released 128Mbyte and 256Mbyte Elite Pro Hi-Speed SecureDigital (SD) cards represent the latest generation of high-capacity small-form-factor digital storage devices.
Initially, Kingston Technology will be manufacturing MMC 4.0 cards in 256 and 512Mbyte capacities, later to be followed by capacities up to 2Gbyte.

The MMC 4.0 card is backward compatible with all previous versions of MultiMediaCards and host devices.
Production quantities will be available by the end of Q3 this year.
