Marschner also recognises the digital memory market will be a key area of growth and so aims to ensure Kingston Technology's digital memory products will become as well known as the company's highly successful PC and server memory.

From there he moved in 1987 to Computer 2000 (now TechData), as Regional and Inside Sales Manager for IT distribution.
He then spent a year at Toshiba from 1994 but was soon working at US Robotics where he was responsible for starting the entire business in Germany building up both the distribution channel and internal sales force.
It was during this time that he was responsible for the introduction of the Palm Pilot.
Marschner commented: "I am delighted to have been given this opportunity".
"Having been at Kingston Technology since 1996 I have seen and been part of the remarkable growth of the company".
"I believe that we can strengthen our position as market leaders and continue to push into new markets".
Marschner is 48 years old and is married with two boys, aged 14 and 17.
He has a masters degree in economics and business studies from the University of Munich, and enjoys golf, mountain biking and skiing.
He also has a passion for rock music and lists Deep Purple and the Rolling Stones as his favourite bands.
