"As the USB standard continues to gain adoption in new market segments, Kingston Technology decided the time was right to launch a trio of DataTravelers with enhanced features and functionality to best fit the needs of a diverse group of users", concluded Marschner.
For advanced consumers and small to midsize business use, DataTraveler II and DataTraveler II Plus provide high-performance solutions.
Performance benefits include Hi-Speed USB 2.0, preloaded SecureTraveler security software with private zones and password protection.
Both are designed for power-users that need higher capacities and faster data transfers.
The DataTraveler II has data transfer rates of up to 11Mbyte/s (read) and 7Mbyte/s (write), and the DataTraveler II Plus is the fastest in its class with a read speed of up to 19Mbyte/s and 13Mbyte/s write speed.
Designed for premium performance and safeguarding data for IT, corporate and government organisations, DataTraveler Elite features Hi-Speed USB 2.0, advanced security and ease of use utilities including a boot utility.
The DataTraveler Elite has a data transfer rates of up to 24Mbyte/s for reads and up to 14Mbyte/s for writes, making it one of the fastest USB devices on the market today.
DataTraveler Elite has a unique combination of hardware and software-based security that gives unprecedented access control and encrypted data protection.
With DataTraveler Elite's TravelerSafe+ software, users can set password access control for a private data storage area that uses 128bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) hardware-based encryption.
If lost, this advanced hardware encryption system protects the data against unauthorised access.
