Compact cards provide speedy secure storage
The newly released 128Mbyte and 256Mbyte Elite Pro Hi-Speed SecureDigital (SD) cards represent the latest generation of high-capacity small-form-factor digital storage devices.
Popular digital devices such as camera phones, PDAs, MP3 players, smartphones, and digital cameras will soon be using RS-MMC and miniSD cards.
To maximise flexibility and ease of use for the end user, Kingston Technology's RS-MMC and miniSD cards ship with adapters that allow each to fit into their respective standard size format.
"Currently there are a handful of devices that take advantage of RS-MMC and miniSD cards, but we expect these technologies to become widely used over the next 18 months", said Thomas Marschner, Vice President, Sales and Marketing Europe, Kingston Technology.
Kingston Technology's RS-MMC cards will be released in 64 and 128Mbyte capacities and Kingston Technology miniSD cards will launch in 128 and 256Mbyte capacities.
Larger capacities for both the RS-MMC and miniSD product lines will follow as digital device needs dictate.
Both cards carry Kingston Technology's lifetime warranty and award-winning technical support.
