Kingston Technology has been named components vendor of the year at the 2005 CRN Channel Awards.

Kingston Technology has been named components vendor of the year at the 2005 CRN Channel Awards The accolade marks a remarkable three-year run of awards for Kingston Technology at this prestigious IT industry event, after picking up the specialist vendor of the year in 2003 and vendor of the year in 2004

The award was accepted on behalf of Kingston Technology by Ann Keefe, Head of UK and Ireland Sales, in front of an audience of over 1500 leading industry figures at the Battersea Park Arena, London.

With stiff competition from leading manufacturers of PC desktop, mobile systems, servers and core processors, the award recognises Kingston Technology's overall contribution to business development within the channel.

As the world's largest independent manufacturer of digital and memory products, Kingston Technology has built up a strong relationship amongst its channel partners based on helping them respond quickly to market trends.

Kingston's ability to produce the highest quality products, rigorously tested, within the shortest lead times has ensured strong growth for the company and its partners.

Kingston's philosophy of putting its channel partners and customers first has seen the company go from strength to strength with record revenue figures of $2.45 billion for 2004 worldwide.

Thomas Marschner, Vice President, Sales and Marketing EMEA, Kingston Technology, commented: "We are delighted and honoured to win this award from our industry peers".

"There is great satisfaction in knowing that the hard work and loyalty we invest in our channel partnerships is really valued".

Marschner continues: "We are committed to building on our current success by helping our business partners to grow in traditional areas such as ValueRAM and branded memory but also to capitalise on the dramatically increasing digital memory business".

"However, the biggest thanks goes to all the team at Kingston Technology, from the warehouse staff to the sales team on the road, as it's their commitment and professionalism that continues to distinguish Kingston Technology as a company that people like to do business with".
