Lessner to engineer tantalum leadership
Philip Lessner has been named Vice President, Tantalum Technology and Technical Marketing for Kemet Corp, reporting directly to Kemet President and Chief Operating Officer James McClintock.

Kemet is switching to lead-free as the standard termination finish on tantalum MnO2 and organic polymer KO-CAP products.
Dr Lessner has been with Kemet for more than eight years and has previously held organisational leadership roles in the company, most recently serving as Director of Technical Marketing Services.
He has a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Cooper Union and a PhD in chemical engineering with a focus in electrochemical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
