New from Knitter Switch is the TSSJ-2 multifunction tact switch.
All Knitter-Switch pushbuttons give a tactile response to activation with the option of an audible "click" or silent operation for noise-sensitive environments such as broadcast or sound recording applications.
Knitter-Switch offers two ranges of illuminated pushbuttons: the TR/TM series of modular, spot illuminated models with a wide range of square bezels and colours and the LTR/LTM range of fully illuminated buttons with a wide range of both square and round bezels and colours.
All models offer a tactile "feel" when operated and there is a choice of metal or rubber actions to provide and audible or silent operation.
Switching functions available include momentary and latching, single pole on/off.
Contact ratings are 10mA at 12V DC or 50mA at 48V DC with maximum contact resistance of 500 and 100mohm, respectively.
With an operating temperature range of -25 to +70C operational life is a minimum of 10,000 operations for the rubber action and 300,000 operations for the metal action products.
Mounting is by plated PCB terminals, which may be auto-soldered.
Terry Moss, General Sales Manager for Knitter-Switch UK comments: "Our illuminated pushbuttons provide a very cost effective solution for anyone building a panel or control system and the option of silent operation has been welcomed by the broadcast industry".
Knitter-Switch illuminated pushbuttons are available from stock and typical applications include, control panels, instrumentation, IT products, audio mixers and broadcast equipment.
