Blue is a popular colour with automotive products and the new switch is simple to customise for many application by using a wide range of buttons and bezels.

This latest introduction from the European leader in switching products complements existing range by having the same dimensions as its existing nonilluminated models.

This allows panel builders to match switch styles when having to mix both types of switch on the same panel.

The new pushbutton gives a tactile response on activation with the option of an audible "click" or silent operation for noise-sensitive environments such as broadcast or sound recording applications.

Two ranges of illuminated pushbuttons are available from Knitter-Switch: the TR/TM series of modular, spot illuminated models with a wide range of square bezels and colours and the LTR/LTM range of fully illuminated buttons with a wide range of both square and round bezels and colours.

On operation a tactile response is present on all models and audible or silent operation is provided by a choice of metal or rubber actions.

Switching functions available include momentary and latching, single pole on/off.

Contact ratings are 10mA at 12V DC or 50mA at 48V DC with contact resistance of better than 500ohm and 100mohm, respectively.

With an operating temperature range of -25 to +70C operational life is a minimum of 10,000 operations for the rubber action and 300,000 operations for the metal action products.

Mounting is by plated PCB terminals, which may be auto-soldered.
