The TSSJ 55 is an ultraflat surface-mount RoHS-compliant multifunction device that will find wide application where space is at a premium and where designers can maximise the versatility of this five-position switch The TSSJ 55 features a height of just 1.55mm and a body size of 10.4 x 10.4mm

It incorporates five independent switches and has no actuator allowing designers to create customised actuators that are suitable for their particular application.

It has been designed for use in all applications where reliability and long mechanical life (a minimum of 200,000 operation cycles) are essential.

Because of these characteristics, it is ideal for use within telecommunications or consumer electronics as well as applications that include a menu selection/control function.

The TSSJ 55 is a five-position switch - four directions (each with an operating force of 1.8N) plus centre push (3.5N) for confirmation of the user's selection - with switching contacts rated at 12V DC/50mA and a maximum contact resistance of 100mohm.

The operating temperature is -20 to +70C, storage temperature is between -40 and +85C.

The actuator itself and the switch body are made from high temperature thermoplastic nylon to UL94V0 and capable of lead free soldering processes (250C for 10s, 255C maximum).

Knitter Switch multifunction switches are available from stock and from a number of distributors throughout Europe.

Samples are usually available on next day delivery.
