performance
The highly scalable Kontron ETXexpress-690 offers processing performance ranging from the single-core 1GHz AMD 2100+ Sempron processor up to the dual-core AMD Turion 64 X 2 TL-52 with 1.6GHz.
Kontron ETXexpress-690 computer-on-module is based on the latest AMD M690T + SB600 embedded chipset and AMD Sempron single core and AMD Turion 64 X2 dual core processors The system supports the latest embedded processors from AMD, which deliver extreme performance with up to 16 Lane Hyper Transport support with TDP values of 9 to 35W

Performance is boosted further by up to 4Gbyte dual-channel 667MHZ DDR2 SO-DIMM memory.
The Kontron ETXexpress-690 is COM Express compliant and comes with a range of interfaces that conform to the PICMG COM.0 specification Type 2 pin-out, making it suitable choice for market segments that require long life availability such as kiosks, medical, multimedia and gaming applications.
These market segments will benefit not only from the increased computing power and better performance per Watt, but also from increased graphics performance with the integrated Radeon X1250 Graphics Core as well as PCI Express x8.
By conforming to the COM Express specification, Kontron's latest computer-on-module also supports TMDS for DVI or HDMI graphics.
Extensive I/O options are provided by 4 x1, 2 x2 and 1 x4 PCI Express lanes, 10/100/1000 Mbit Ethernet, eight USB 2.0 ports and dual video streaming capabilities to mention just a few.
The Kontron ETXexpress-690 computer-on-module also offers continued support for applications requiring PCI and IDE interfaces.
