Electret condenser microphones shrink to 3mm
Knowles Acoustics has expanded its proven line of electret condenser microphones with 3mm devices available in both omnidirectional and unidirectional types.
Knowles Acoustics has expanded its proven line of electret condenser microphones (ECMs).
Offered in both omni and unidirectional, the 3mm ECM is now commercially available.
The omnidirectional MB3015ASC-2 has two internal capacitors (10 and 33pF) for ultralow RFI noise protection for Bluetooth applications.
Multiple value added models with cable wire leads and connectors along with rubber boot housings that all meet current RoHS standards are available.
"With the tremendous amount of business in the ECM market, we felt it necessary to find a niche to differentiate ourselves from the competitors".
"The 3mm plus our value added models (VAM) do just that", said Mike Adell, Director, Product Management for Knowles Acoustics.
"We are one of the very few companies who offer a 3mm model, and more importantly, our VAM service makes us a market leader in this field".
"We offer superior application support and engineering services to our customers which is second to none".
The 3mm is ideal for Bluetooth wireless headsets requiring inner ear dual microphone/noise cancelling headsets (BTHs), micro boom headset communications and high-end audio headsets for music players.
