Bluetooth compliance has international appeal

KTL's experience in bringing Bluetooth products to market on a worldwide basis spans across a number of years and many customers.

Now that expertise is being offered to manufacturers who can turn to KTL for assistance on regulatory issues such as current standards and certification procedures.

In Europe, radio products must meet the requirements of the Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive (the R and TTE Directive).

For Bluetooth products European harmonised standards exist covering all three areas: safety EN60950-1:2001; EMC EN301 489 - 17 V1.2.1; and RF EN300 328 V1.2.1.

KTL is UKAS accredited to test to all these standards.

In the USA, Bluetooth products are covered by Part 15 of Title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations (47 CFR).

KTL's test facilities are listed with the FCC for this testing.

Other areas where KTL has considerable experience in performing Bluetooth compliance testing include Asia, Australasia, the Far East, Ukraine, South Africa and Mexico.
