Shanghai plant comes on stream
The Kulicke and Soffa 13,500m2 manufacturing plant in the Suzhou-Singapore Industrial Park, located near Shanghai, is now shipping cantilever probe cards to global semiconductor companies.

Shay Torton, Vice President and General Manager at the Suzhou facility, stated: "The K and S Suzhou plant will continue to ramp up and build additional manufacturing capabilities to support the growing global demand for K and S wafer test products".
Kulicke and Soffa will also start manufacturing and shipping its new DuraPlus probe card for fine pitch applications from this plant by the fourth quarter of 2004.
Jack Belani, Vice President of Business Units and Marketing at K and S, stated: "This plant will enable our customers to be served globally with state-of-the-art probe cards and also satisfy the emerging growth in Southeast Asia and China in particular".
The K and S Suzhou facility also continues to increase its output of bonding tools and is now looking to manufacture additional K and S products at this facility, while improving its overall infrastructure in the China market.
