Argon laser replacement cuts size and
power
Torsana's Starbright 488 laser is based on a passive feedback laser system: the 980nm diode emits a near-diffraction limited output which is then frequency doubled to give 488nm.
Torsana's Starbright 488 laser is based on a passive feedback laser system: the 980nm diode emits a near-diffraction limited output which is then frequency doubled to give 488nm Perfect for any number of applications that traditionally use argon ion lasers, the Starbright 488 is a superb replacement giving narrow linewidth, high stability and high beam quality without the size and bulky power supply and cooling fans associated with gas laser technology
The compact dimensions of the laser head and controller will save system space and the low power consumption of the laser provides even greater flexibility.
Currently the Starbright 488 provides 10mW at 488nm, with a linewidth of less than 0.1nm and M2 of 1.4. Request a free brochure from Lambda Photometrics ...
