Lantronix XPort AR was one of hundreds of products considered and was chosen as the winner by the EDN Editorial Advisory Board, EDN Editors and readers.
Lantronix XPort AR enables manufacturers to quickly and easily build networking and web server capabilities into embedded devices and machines, enabling them to be easily and securely integrated into an enterprise data network.
Running Lantronix Evolution NOS, XPort AR is the first embedded device networking solution to incorporate standards-complaint information transport protocols including XML and RSS and security protocols SSH and SSL.
In addition, XPort AR is fully IEEE802.3af power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant for pass-through PoE capability and provides "Cisco like" command line interface (CLI) capabilities to simplify remote or local configuration.
