Analogue front end is dynamically reconfigurable
Lattice Semiconductor has added a new member to its ispPAC programmable analogue device family.
PAC-Designer version 1.3 also supports the newly announced ispPAC30 device - the world's first in-system programmable and dynamically reconfigurable analog front-end IC.
PAC-Designer software is the popular software tool for designing, simulating, and programming programmable analogue circuits from Lattice.
The new PAC-Designer software development kit (PDSDK) library helps users to automate the manufacturing of their boards containing analog circuits.
In many cases, the manufacturing of these boards involves a technician who has to manually adjust or calibrate analogue circuits to compensate for component tolerances.
Lattice's ispPAC chips and manufacturing automation software developed using PDSDK can eliminate or minimise manual intervention.
"Programmable circuits offer superior flexibility on the manufacturing line", said Andy Robin, VP of New Venture Business for Lattice.
"Now our customers can use software to tune their analogue circuits board by board right on the manufacturing line.
The new utilities built into PAC-Designer further enhance the fast, easy and flexible way to do analogue design".
PAC-Designer Version 1.3 is available for download from the Lattice Semiconductor website at www.latticesemi.com free of charge.
Users can also get a free non-time-limited licence at the same location.
