"Frontier" is a new series of blogs written by senior Lattice engineers.

The latest addition to the Lattice Semiconductor website, "Frontier" is a new series of blogs ("web logs") written by senior Lattice engineers Reader comments and questions are encouraged and will be an influential driver of blog content

While FPGAs are expected to be a popular blog subject, all Lattice and Lattice-related topics are open for discussion.

"We added forums to our website in February", said Stan Kopec, Corporate Vice President of Marketing, "and they quickly became one of the most popular destinations for our visitors".

"Blogs are a logical next step to expand the dialog on our website".

"While our forums are focused on technical support, we expect the blogs to encourage wide ranging discussions with several of our senior managers, as well as among our visitors".

"Lattice is one of the first semiconductor companies to have public blogs, which provide a unique communications channel for our visitors".

"We've chosen to call our blogs "Frontier", because we believe they will invite and encourage discovery, both by our visitors and our authors".

The blog authors are David Rutledge, Vice President of Product Development (and inventor of the original GAL device); Bertrand Leigh, Manager of Applications Engineering; Mike Kendrick, Manager of Product Planning; and Gordon Hands, Director of Strategic Marketing.

Each author brings a distinct expertise to Frontier, and as a group the authors are highly qualified to discuss Lattice, its products and its technologies.
