No wait states for in-circuit emulator
Lauterbach now provides full support for the ST10F276 with its Trace32-Fire in-circuit emulator.
Lauterbach's Trace32 PowerDebug modules are connected to the host computer over USB or Ethernet and to the microcontroller, which is to be tested, using interfaces such as BDM, JTAG, EJTAG, and OCDS.
These modules enable quick access to all internal chip units, for example, on-chip hardware breakpoints, peripheral components, registers, EEPROM and Flash memory.
These modules are based on a 260MIPS PowerPC controller that offloads certain tasks from the host computer, thus enabling extremely fast download rates, well in excess of 1Mbyte/s In large projects, this significantly reduces download rates.
When using processors with trace ports such as ETM, ETB and Nexus, even data transfers from the trace register (often exceeding 16Mbyte when Trace32 PowerTrace modules are being used) need very little time.
