Same-day shipment service for power
supplies

Coutant Lambda, the world's leading power supply manufacturer, is now able to offer a new rapid response, same-day shipment service for its Alpha range of configurable switch mode power supplies.

Designers who need power in a hurry will be delighted to hear that Coutant Lambda, the world's leading power supply manufacturer, is now able to offer a new rapid response, same-day shipment service for its Alpha range of configurable switch mode power supplies Martin Southam, Coutant Lambda's UK sales director enthuses: "For small orders of up to ten pieces, we are now able to offer our customers same day shipment on our market-leading Alpha range

A new fully computerised order entry system, improvements to internal systems and the production process have been brought together to enable us to commence manufacturing any configuration of Alpha within one hour of receiving the order.

"We had previously been offering a premium 48hr rapid response delivery service.

Our new initiative effectively halves this.

We are the only power supply manufacturer capable of providing same-day shipment for this type of product and we are fully committed to remaining the world's most responsive supplier of configurable power supplies," added Southam.

Alpha's inherently flexible modular design means that for those customers whose voltage requirements lie beyond that of standard units, Coutant Lambda is able to provide a carefully matched solution using a comprehensive range of power modules.

Alpha is available in ratings of 400W, 600W and 800W and can be equipped with between one and seven modular customer-configurable outputs.

Output adjustment is via a multi-turn potentiometer with an accuracy to within 1%.

Load regulation (0 to 100% loading) is <0.5% with remote sensing and <2% without remote sensing.

Overcurrent and overvoltage are fitted as standard.

With an input operating range of between 90 and 264V AC and an input frequency of 47 to 63Hz, Alpha has a start-up time of less than 0.5s.

Thermal protection is provided as standard and input protection is in accordance with EN61000-4-2/4/5 level 3.

Built-in power factor correction and harmonic correction is in accordance with EN61000-3-2.

A wide range of options is available including, power good, AC fail, paralleling and power supply inhibit.

The MF primary option provides a 5V, 50mA auxiliary output, power fail indication and converter inhibit.

Here, maximum current is 50mA and the mains fail transistor turns off 5ms prior to loss of regulation.

The PA secondary option provides paralleling and module good while the IN secondary option gives module inhibit and module good. Request a free brochure from Lambda ...
