Budget switchers gain active harmonic
filtering

Lambda has added the new ZWS-AF range to its popular and highly flexible ZWS family of single output switched mode power supplies.

Lambda has added the new ZWS-AF range to its popular and highly flexible ZWS family of single output switched mode power supplies Extremely price competitive, the new supplies allow designers to achieve EN61000-3-2 compliance through active harmonic filtering in even the most cost sensitive designs

Available with power ratings of 50, 75, 100 and 150W combined with output voltages of 5, 12, 15 and 24V the new units are able to meet the requirements of a wide variety of applications.

The wide input voltage range spans 85 to 265V AC or 120 to 370V DC and the ZWS-AF range has a typical power factor rating of 0.95.

Numerous other features are provided as standard on the power supply including: over current and over voltage protection, remote on/off control, series operation, and a choice of either Molex or JST connectors.

Careful design has ensured that the space required to install ZWS/AF switched mode power supplies is minimal.

The use of low profile components means that the overall height of the new assembly is only 37mm.

With an operating temperature range of -10 to +60C the ZWS-AF range is suitable for many different applications including, computing, telecommunications and process control.

All key safety standards are met including UL1950, CSA950, and EN60950.

Additionally the new units also adhere to the main recognised EMI and noise immunity standards. Request a free brochure from Lambda ...
