Cost-competitive 120W switch-mode power supply
Lambda has introduced a new highly cost-competitive switched-mode power supply, the SC120, which offers high levels of performance without any compromise in design.
Lambda has introduced a new highly cost-competitive switched-mode power supply, the SC120, which offers high levels of performance without any compromise in design.
The new unit satisfies global safety regulations and the latest EC directive on harmonic distortion.
Its industry-standard size and wide-range of AC output options make it ideal for a variety of applications such as computer peripherals, point of sales and telecommunications equipment.
Eleven standard models are available with either single, dual, triple or quad output configurations including the popular 3.3 and 5V output combinations.
The open-frame unit measures 175 x 100 x 45 mm.
With an input voltage range of 90-264V at 47-63Hz, the SC120 is suitable for use worldwide.
The SC120 can deliver 110W with forced-air cooling and a peak power output of 120W in all output modes.
Its line and load regulation is rated at +/-2% on single output and from +/-3 to 5% on multiple output versions.
The SC120 has an operational temperature range of 0 to 50C.
Martin Southam, Lambda's UK sales director, said: "Not only is the new 120W SC switched-mode power supply one of the industry's most competitively priced supplies it is also among the best performing 4 x 7in power units currently available.
Matched to an industry standard footprint the SC120 fits into existing designs with little or no modification.
The SC120 is a global product meeting all of the world's safety agency requirements.
In a nut-shell the SC120 arguably is the best solution to the power needs of the systems designer".
The SC120 meets or exceeds an array of global safety requirements, carrying type approval for UL1950, SA950, EN60950 and EN6100-3-2.
