High-efficiency half brick is lighter
and thinner

High power density coupled with high efficiency make Lambda's new PAH half-brick DC/DC power modules ideal for a host of telecommunications, computing and distributed power architectures.

High power density coupled with high efficiency make Lambda's new PAH half-brick DC/DC power modules ideal for a host of telecommunications, computing and distributed power architectures With a nominal input voltage of 48V, the single-output 200W PAH200H48 series offers a choice of output voltage of 1.8, 2.5 or 3.3V

The new DC/DC convertor boasts a power density of 72.4W/in3 and power efficiency of 90% at an output of 3.3V.

Such high efficiency has eliminated the need for baseplate cooling under normal temperature conditions, allowing Lambda to produce a half-brick design that is both lighter and thinner.

Combining a typical weight of only 90g with a footprint of 58 x 61mm and a low profile of 10mm, the new PAH200H48 family of DC/DC power modules brings significant benefits to designs where board and inter board space is at a premium.

The open modules can be convection or forced air cooled, their inherent high efficiency helping to significantly reduce heat output.

Operating temperature range is -40 to +85C.

The convertors have built-in overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature protection.

Isolation withstand voltage is 1.5kV DC input-to-output.

For applications operating under harsh conditions of low airflow and high ambient temperature Lambda is also offering a version with a baseplate allowing operating temperatures as high as 100C.

The PAH200H48 provides designers with a choice of industry standard pin configurations, the C version having fewer output pins for simplicity and compatibility.

Other options include auto restart following overcurrent/overvoltage shutdown, and negative or positive remote on/off control.

PAH converters carry a full range of international approvals including UL1950, EN60950 and CSA950. Request a free brochure from Lambda ...
