Supplies put more power on the DIN rail
New from Lambda is the DHP series of compact single-output DIN-rail mount AC/DC power supplies.
General-purpose power supplies boost efficiency
The LS50, LS75 and LS100 have 88 to 264V AC inputs, while the LS150 is switch-selectable for 115 or 230V AC, minimising the cost.
Power supplies cater for short-term peaks
Units provide a very cost and space efficient solution compared with oversizing conventional power supplies just to handle the peak current.
To meet this demand Lambda's DHP series provides a choice of 500 and 1000W DIN-rail solutions specifically designed with size, efficiency and reliability in mind.
The DHP units are an extremely cost-effective solution for a wide range of applications including motor control systems, process control, chemical processing, automotive, burn-in and test, and instrumentation.
On both the 500 and 1000W units there is a choice of single-phase or three-phase input.
Single-phase units have a universal input range of 85 to 265V while three-phase variants have a 380 to 575V input range.
Efficiency is a highly impressive 99% and power factor is 0.99 at full load.
Maximum line and load regulation is 0.2 and 0.8%, respectively.
The new DHP has overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature protection, with manual restart.
A red and a green LED show the status of the supply.
The highly compact units are convection cooled.
The new supplies have a standard common width of 183mm.
Height and depth range from 157 x 155mm for the DHP500 to 223 x 155mm for the DHP1000.
Optional signals available include: inhibit, output power good, thermal alarm, current monitor and current share.
Operating temperature range is -10 to +60C at full load.
The DHP series carries a three-year warranty.
DHP units are CE marked in accordance with the Low Voltage Directive and comply with a wide range of worldwide safety standards including UL508, CSA22.2 No 950-95, and EN690950.
The units carry approval to IEC61000-4-4 for fast transients including IEC/EN61000-4-5 for lightening surge and have RF immunity to EN50082-1.2.
They conform to EN61000-3-2 for input harmonic distortion and to EN55022 Class B, FCC-B for radiated and conducted EMI. Request a free brochure from Lambda ...
