Full-brick convertors run up to 600W
The PAF range of full-brick DC/DC convertors has been expanded with the introduction of new 600W versions with high input voltage ratings.
General-purpose power supplies boost efficiency
The LS50, LS75 and LS100 have 88 to 264V AC inputs, while the LS150 is switch-selectable for 115 or 230V AC, minimising the cost.
Power supplies cater for short-term peaks
Units provide a very cost and space efficient solution compared with oversizing conventional power supplies just to handle the peak current.
Lambda's Business Development Manager, Dave Buck comments: "Delivering 700W from a compact, highly efficient full brick design means that the new PAF70048 series meets today's market demands for ever more powerful converters in 'standard' footprints.
Thanks to its innovative combination of ASIC control with zero voltage switching (ZVS) technology, the PAF series is able to achieve three times the power density of more conventional converters".
The PAF70048 series currently offers two variants: one with a 12V output and maximum output current of 58.5A, the other providing a 28V output and a maximum output current of 25A.
The wide range voltage adjustment of -40 to +15% allows a broad range of nonstandard voltages to be achieved.
Power efficiency is 91%.
Nominal input voltage is 48V DC over a 36 to 76V DC range.
Overcurrent protection is from 105 to 140% and overvoltage protection is from 115 to 135%.
Both units can be connected in series or parallel, providing the flexibility of a wide variety of configuration options.
Features include remote sensing, remote on/off and IOG signal.
The conduction-cooled convertors are designed for tough operating conditions with an operating temperature range of -40 to +100C and operating humidity of 20 to 95% RH.
Global safety standards carried include UL1950, CSA950 and EN60950. Request a free brochure from Lambda ...
