Compact board mount supplies have
universal appeal

A new series of 5 to 15W AC/DC board mount power supplies combine small size and light weight for use in factory automation, printers and motor drives, and automated vending.

New from Lambda, the innovative KPS Series of 5 to 15W AC/DC board mount power supplies are both small and lightweight, making them ideal for their target applications in factory automation, printers and motor drives, and automated vending The KPS Series' small size, the largest model is just 69.9 x 48 x 26.8mm and weighs only 80g, minimises the PCB area used, while their wide input range of 85-264V AC or 110-370V DC means that they can be used globally with no manual intervention or reconfiguration

No external power supply components are needed, as the unit is fully self-contained.

A total of 15 models are available in the KPS range, with a choice of output voltage and output power.

Output voltage is selectable from 3.3, 5, 12, 15 or 24V, each capable of delivering 5, 10 or 15W with a typical efficiency of up to 82%.

Andy Skinner, Product Manager with Lambda, commented: "Where OEMs previously manufactured products for a single country or region, the trend now is to design modular products that can be configured for multiple markets".

"Having a single power supply such as Lambda's KPS Series, that can accept a wide range of input voltages, means that OEMs are able to market their products globally without having to source multiple power supplies".

The KPS Series has UL, CSA and EN60950 safety approvals, is CE marked, and has the additional protection of Lambda's one year warranty. Request a free brochure from TDK-Lambda UK ...
