Programmable PSU boosts output to 3.3kW
Lambda has added a new 3.3kW version of its successful Genesys range of rack-mountable, programmable power supplies.
Lambda has added a new 3.3kW version of its successful Genesys range of rack-mountable, programmable power supplies Offering one of the highest power densities available in a compact 2U unit and complementing the already highly successful 1U 1500 and 750W versions, Genesys continues to set the standard for flexible, reliable, AC/DC power systems for OEM, industrial, ATE, test and laboratory applications

The new DRP-960 is the latest and most powerful member of the DRP family of high performance switched mode power supplies.
RoHS compliance is standard allowing both exempt and nonexempt applications to be addressed.
The first group of 3.3kW models released include output voltage ranges of 0-8, 0-60, 0-150 and 0-600V.
Maximum output current for the lowest voltage range is 400A.
Further models will be released during the first half of 2006 to complete the full line up of 12 versions.
Each model can be ordered with single phase 230V AC input or three phase (either 208 or 400V) and all units have active power factor correction.
The Genesys 3.3kW offers high reliability through its reduced part count, proven topologies screened components and Lambda derating guidelines.
Common to the whole Genesys family is the RS232/485 interface which is built in as standard along with comprehensive analogue control and monitor interface.
Options available include a new multidrop version of the IEEE488.2 interface card which requires only one IEEE address and only one option card to be fitted in the master unit to control up to 31 slave units via the RS485 link.
This can be particularly beneficial for making test systems more noise immune.
Systems designers will also benefit from the new global commands that will simplify programming and provide faster test sequence execution with multiple unit configurations.
Isolated analogue interface option cards are also available.
Paralleling units for higher power is now simplified with the master unit able to report total system output current and rack space is minimised because all Genesys units are true "zero stack" with no space required between units.
CE marked in accordance with the Low Voltage Directive, Genesys conducted and radiated EMI conforms to EN55022-A, FCC-A .
Safety approvals include UL60950 and EN60950. Request a free brochure from Lambda ...
