Lambda UK has launched a new version of its FPS1000 front end power supply with a nominal output voltage of 32V.

Lambda UK has launched a new version of its FPS1000 front end power supply with a nominal output voltage of 32V.

The maximum power output of the unit is 992W and three units can be connected offering a maximum output of 3000W.

Suitable for a standard 1U rack, the new unit offers a lowest cost of ownership solution for factory automation applications and is well suited to provide power for distributed power architecture and RF amplifiers.

The Lambda FPS1000 Series unit offers a high efficiency of 84/87% at 100/200V AC meaning that less heat is dissipated into a system.

The unit is capable of being hot-swapped and is therefore suitable for those requiring N+1 redundancy.

With a full array of optoisolated signals (DC OK, AC fail, overtemperature warning, high on fail) the new model offers easier system monitoring.

Accepting a continuous input from 85 to 265V the model features overvoltage protection of 41.5 to 45.5V and overcurrent protection of 105 to 125% (constant current type).

Operating temperature range is normally 0-50C and the unit meets the ETS 300 019 shock and vibration standard.

The unit weighs 2kg and has a two year warranty.
