Collaboration creates compact convertors
CC-E compact DC/DC convertors are now available under the new collaborative TDK-Lambda product brand.
The latest CC-E compact DC/DC convertors designed and manufactured by TDK are now available from power supply specialist, Lambda under the new collaborative TDK-Lambda product brand.
With power ratings from 1.5 to 25W in versions with 5, 12, 24 or 48V inputs, the DC/DC convertors feature a small footprint and low profile, making them an ideal choice for use in modern telecommunications, datacommunications, instrumentation and industrial applications, where space is invariably at a premium.
The DC/DC convertors, which are fully RoHS compliant, use nonpotted open-frame construction.
This not only reduces their weight, but also allows the range to include versions which are suitable for surface mount applications, in addition to standard models for use with through-hole boards.
The CC-E DC/DC convertors are offered in no fewer than 69 versions, and are available with single outputs from 3.3 to 30V, or with dual outputs of +/-12 or +/-15V.
No preloading is required, and the outputs are overcurrent protected.
The output voltage on all models can easily be trimmed by the user to suit the exact requirements of the application.
High efficiency - up to 90%, depending on the model - keeps the heat generated by the convertors to a minimum, and allows them to deliver their full rated output over the temperature range -40 to +50C.
With suitable derating, or when cooled by an airflow of at least 1m/s, the operating temperature range can be extended to +85C.
All the compact DC/DC convertors in the CC-E range available through Lambda have isolation rated at 500V AC between input and output, input and case, and output and case.
In addition, all carry UL60950-1, CSA60950-1 and EN60950-1 safety agency approvals.
These highly reliable DC/DC convertors are backed by Lambda's 5-year warranty.
