More power on the DIN rail
DIN-rail power supply range expands to include new high power models.
Lambda has extended its DPP range of DIN-rail power supplies to include new high power models.
Offering a solution for providing DC power in larger systems, the new 480W DPP480 units are suited for use in factory automation, industrial control systems and test equipment applications.
Available in two models - the DPP480-24-1 with a 24V 20A output and the DPP480-48-1 with a 48V 10A output - the new power supplies operate from AC inputs in the range 90-264V 50/60Hz without the need for switching or adjustment.
Both models incorporate active power factor correction which ensures full compliance with EN61000-3-2, and both are approved to UL508, making them suitable for use globally.
Output voltages can be adjusted over a small range to allow for voltage drop in cables and similar factors and, once set, are maintained within +1% of nominal.
Load regulation is +/-1% when the supplies are used individually, and +/-5% when multiple supplies are connected in parallel.
Up to three supplies may be parallel connected in applications where the total load exceeds 480W.
For additional convenience in control and automation applications, the 24V model includes a voltage-monitoring relay.
With a normally open contact that closes to confirm that the output from the supply is above a user-adjustable value between 17.6 to 19.4V, this can be used to guard against the operation of devices such as sensors and solenoids at reduced voltage, when their behaviour may be unpredictable.
Featuring compact construction, both of Lambda's new DPP480 power supply models are suitable for mounting on either TS35/7.5 or TS35/15 DIN rail, and both have a robust metal case with convenient screw-terminal connections.
The operating temperature range of the supplies is -10 to +61C at full output and, with modest derating, they can be used up to +71C.
