Switchers tolerate temperature extremes
600W single output power supply is suitable for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications, including display and signage.
Low in both cost and profile, yet incorporating active power factor correction and high transient protection, Lambda UK's latest 600W single output power supply meets a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications, including display and signage The SWS600L offers a choice of output voltages from 3.3 to 48V DC and has a peak output of 744W on the 24V model

General-purpose power supplies boost efficiency
The LS50, LS75 and LS100 have 88 to 264V AC inputs, while the LS150 is switch-selectable for 115 or 230V AC, minimising the cost.
Power supplies cater for short-term peaks
Units provide a very cost and space efficient solution compared with oversizing conventional power supplies just to handle the peak current.
Important standard features include a 12V/0.1A auxiliary output, fan fail alarm and dc output good signal.
Operating within a temperature range of between -20 and +74C and with low-temperature startup capability (100% load startup at -40C), it is a reliable choice for systems that experience extremes of temperature, such as road traffic signs.
Meanwhile, the inclusion of a temperature-controlled fan that minimises acoustic noise means that the SWS600L is equally suited to indoor applications.
An SWS600L unit operating at 25C has a fan noise of just 43.5dB and is therefore ideal for powering laboratory equipment or a vending machine for example.
The SWS600L is small in size and is easy to fit into 2U enclosures, with a low profile at just 61mm high and length of only 190mm.
When integrated into an end system the compact form factor ensures maximum space usage.
Significantly though, the unit features true zero stacking capability, allowing for up to five units to be installed in racks one on top of the other, without requiring gaps to be left between them.
Air inlets on only the front and rear facilitate this arrangement, permitting the unit to be enclosed at the sides.
Meanwhile, an active current balance feature enables multiple units to share the load evenly when they are used together in high load and redundant applications.
The SWS600L accepts a continuous input from 85 to 265V AC.
It boasts a wide +/-20% output voltage adjustment range by trimmer to accommodate nonstandard system voltages, and external programming enables the unit to be remotely adjusted from 20 to 120% of nominal.
With an input transient protection that meets IEC61000-4, the SWS600L has been shock tested to satisfy MIL-STD-810F 514.5 Procedure I, VI and vibration tested to MIL-STD-810F 514.5 Category 4, 10.
The SWS600L is CE marked and meets Class B EMI standards and is safety-approved to UL, CSA, EN60950-1, IEC61010-1 and EN50178. Request a free brochure from Lambda ...
