Multiple-output supplies ease medical
design
Medically approved PCB-mounting power supplies produce 15-40W with single, dual or triple outputs.
Lambda has introduced the KM Series of medically approved 15-40W enclosed PCB-mount power supplies with single, dual or triple outputs Eliminating the need for external power adapters, these small, lightweight power supplies are ideal for use in a wide variety of medical equipment, in particular portable applications such as electronic blood pressure monitors and home infusion therapy equipment

General-purpose power supplies boost efficiency
The LS50, LS75 and LS100 have 88 to 264V AC inputs, while the LS150 is switch-selectable for 115 or 230V AC, minimising the cost.
Power supplies cater for short-term peaks
Units provide a very cost and space efficient solution compared with oversizing conventional power supplies just to handle the peak current.
Available in two package sizes - 64.0 x 45.5 x 23.4mm (15W models) and 88.9 x 63.5 x 26.9mm (40W models) - the KM Series covers all commonly used output voltages.
The single-output models are available from 3.3 to 24V with typical efficiency up to 83%.
For the dual-output units, ranges include +/-5, +/-12 and +/-15V as well as 5/12V versions.
Typical efficiency for these models is up to 83%.
The triple-output models cover various outputs, including 5V/+/-12V with efficiencies to an impressive 80%.
All configurations accept a broad range of input voltages: 90 to 264V AC, 47 to 440Hz or 100 to 375V DC.
No earth connection is required as the KM Series is a Class II device.
The models are rated for operation in a convection cooled environment from -25 to +70C, derating linearly to 50% load from +50 to +70C.
Other features include overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature protection.
Lambda's KM Series power supplies have 4kV AC I/O isolation, and meet EN60601-1-2 immunity and Class B (15W) and Class A (40W) EMI standards.
Leakage current at 230V AC is less than 200uA.
They are also safety approved to IEC/UL60601-1 specifications and are CE marked.
Depending on model, Lambda gives the KM Series an MTBF of between 200 and 400kh.
All models carry a two-year warranty. Request a free brochure from Lambda ...
