More power from DIN-rail supplies

DIN-rail power supplies produce 240W with convection cooling, boasting 90% efficiency for factory automation, industrial control systems and test equipment applications.

Lambda has expanded its DPP Series lineup of DIN-rail power supplies with the introduction of new 240W models The DPP240 complements the recently introduced DPP120 supplies, and with typical efficiency reaching an impressive 90%, is suited for use in factory automation, industrial control systems and test equipment applications

The DPP240 is low cost and yet feature rich, with power factor correction and a switch function that allows up to three units to be connected in parallel (droop mode).

The supplies are convection cooled and can operate at full power over a wide temperature range of -25 to +61C, derating linearly at 2.5% per degree from 61 to 71C.

Overcurrent and overvoltage protection are provided.

Offering either 24 or 48V outputs, the DPP240 has a nominal 115/230V AC autoselect input range.

Load regulation is +/-1% in single mode and +/-5% in parallel mode, with ripple and noise below 100mV.

A DC-good relay output is provided on the 24V model, and red and green LEDs indicate output status on all models.

Measuring just 125 x 83 x 126mm, the DPP240 units will mount on either a TS35/7.5 or TS35/15 DIN rail offering engineers a flexible option for applications, including process control, automotive, chemical processing, burn-in and test.

As with existing members in the DPP Series, the DPP240 is approved to UL508 safety standard for industrial control equipment.

Further safety approvals include UL60950-1 and EN60950-1.

The DDP240 meets Class B EMC compliance and is PFC compliant to EN61000-3-2.

All models carry a two-year warranty and are CE approved. Request a free brochure from TDK-Lambda UK ...
