Two new adapters from Emulation Technology support the Atmel AT45DB011B/021B and AT45DB161B/321DC DataFlash devices in chip scale BGA packages The new adapters provide hardware and design engineers with the ability to program and prototype

In addition engineers will save time by programming and/or prototyping two devices at the same time in the same adapter.

These new adapters are used to convert a memory programmer DIP sockets to zero insertion force sockets that will accommodate a CBGA packaged device for circuit programming, or that can house the CBGA in a prototype application to help debug programmed code.

The open-top ZIF socket allows the engineer to quickly remove and replace the DataFlash memory after making programming code changes.

Soldering and desoldering the chip for each program change is not required.

These new adapters are two of many multi-application (program and prototype) adapters available from ET via Logic Technology.
