SourcePoint 6.5.1 is the latest debugger from American Arium for ARM-architecture processors.

Available now from Logic technology, SourcePoint 6.5.1 is the latest debugger from American Arium for ARM-architecture processors.

SourcePoint 6.5.1 supports ARM7, ARM9, ARM11 and Cortex cores, offers serial wire debug (SWD), and delivers enhanced Linux OS-aware debug support.

"We are pleased to release this groundbreaking software".

"Our customers who have moved on to Cortex processors are really excited", said Larry Traylor, Arium's CEO.

"Arium supports the new debug paradigms of Coresight, which are used typically in Cortex processors".

"The new debug features allow for multicore devices to be easily controlled and traced with one emulator".

SourcePoint 6.5.1 also offers enhanced Linux OS-aware debug.

Most of the modifications/changes/additions are transparent to the user.

That means the same GUIs, but better performance.

Arium's OS-aware debug solutions deliver full symbolic, source-level debugging of Linux kernel code (including loadable kernel modules) and applications (including shared libraries).

Developers can launch or attach to processes with seamless transitions to and from the kernel and each process.

In addition, Arium delivers kernel debug straight out of reset, dynamic debug of loaded Linux kernel modules, and Linux console output through the JTAG port, eliminating a serial or Ethernet port requirement.

SourcePoint 6.5.1 works with Arium's HS-1000S trace port analyser and the LC-500 JTAG emulator.

The HS-1000S delivers a 256Mbyte ETM (embedded trace macrocell) trace depth with a blazing 680Msample/s trace capture rate.

The LC-500 offers reliable run control at an excellent price point.

Arium debug solutions give software and firmware developers unsurpassed visibility to and development of code via a series of intuitive screens and dialogs with numerous viewing and customisation options.

SourcePoint operates in real time with all core frequencies and works with today's most popular compiler tool chains.

It supports industry-standard input file formats and includes a robust C-like command language.
