Chinese motherboards to debut at CeBIT

At CeBIT 2003, Legend Group will launch the K8A8000 and Superb 4X MAX motherboards, along with Npact, a new family of graphics cards based on the nVidia Geforce4 chip.

At CeBIT 2003, Legend Group will launch under its QDI brand name the K8A8000 and Superb 4X MAX motherboards, along with Npact, a new family of graphics cards based on the nVidia Geforce4 chip.

Also being demonstrated is a selection of Legend QDI's advanced notebook computers, Legend digital home products and consumer, commercial and pocket PCs.

The Npact family of graphics cards are based on the nVidia Geforce4 chip and have a uniquely shaped high-performance heatsink and cooler.

The family also boasts the latest AGP 8X standard interface and graphical memory sizes of 64 and 128Mbyte using 128bit memory technology.

Based on the AMD Athlon 64 chipset, the K8A8000 has two DDR 333 memory slots (depends on CPU), one AGP and five PCI slots, with two serial ATA ports that are optional.

The K8A8000 also supports six-channel audio.

The new QDI Superb 4X MAX mainboard, which supports the SIS 648 /963 chipset, is part of Legend QDI's new SIS series.

With DDR 333 memory, five PCI and one AGP 8X interfaces, the Superb 4LX outperforms many of the previous SIS releases.

Also featured at the show will be Legend's award-winning commercial PC, the Luna 6800, which demonstrates a number of technical and design breakthroughs in the commercial computer arena, including, wireless connection to the Internet; telephone synchronisation; personalised interface; smart cards and VPN security.

Its innovative features include super mini chassis, triangle LCD display, wireless mouse and keypad as well as wireless Internet access.

The pioneering design and useful features, won the Luna 6800 the "2002 Intel Innovative PC Award".
