Chinese motherboards to debut at CeBIT
At CeBIT 2003, Legend Group will launch the K8A8000 and Superb 4X MAX motherboards, along with Npact, a new family of graphics cards based on the nVidia Geforce4 chip.
Graphics cards feature high-bandwidth processor
The Npact family of graphics cards includes both high- and mid-range boards supporting the latest AGP 8X standard interface.
In addition, the board has an 800MHz FSB, supports Hyper-Threading and the upcoming Prescott CPU as well as dual channel DDR and error correction coding (ECC) memory.
The board has one AGP8X slot, two 150Mbyte/s S-ATA HD interfaces, one Gigabit Ethernet interface, eight USB 2.0 interfaces, and onboard six-channel 20bit AC97 audio.
Enhanced memory, and north/south bridge performance benefits are due to Intel's new performance acceleration technology (PAT).
PAT is a new feature of the i875P chipset.
In addition, the P4I865P incorporates Intel's Communications Streaming Architecture (CSA) for enhanced PCIbus throughput from 533Mbit/s to 1.675Gbit/s.
CSA stores and retrieves data directly from/to the memory as well as prioritising Gigabit Ethernet connections (Intel 82547EI).
Together with an independent 266M-network I/O port offers a reduced CPU workload and improved data synchronisation management.
The mainboard is built with a number of prize-winning Easy technologies from QDI to include Pro-StepEasy for over-clocking, Pro-RecoveryEasy for data protection, Pro-UpdateEasy for BIOS updating and other value-added Easy technologies such as Pro-LogoEasy, BootEasy and BIOS-ProtectEasy.
