The P4I875P mainboard for high-end desktop and servers uses the new i875P (Canterwood) chipset from Intel and further endorses the partnering arrangement between the two companies Featuring Legend QDI's Quick Magic Extension (QME) interfacing technology, the P4I875P may be implemented as ATX or MATX form factor, which improves interfacing with PCI and Serial ATA buses

In addition, the board has an 800MHz FSB, supports Hyper-Threading and the upcoming Prescott CPU as well as dual channel DDR and error correction coding (ECC) memory.

The board has one AGP8X slot, two 150Mbyte/s S-ATA HD interfaces, one Gigabit Ethernet interface, eight USB 2.0 interfaces, and onboard six-channel 20bit AC97 audio.

Enhanced memory, and north/south bridge performance benefits are due to Intel's new performance acceleration technology (PAT).

PAT is a new feature of the i875P chipset.

In addition, the P4I865P incorporates Intel's Communications Streaming Architecture (CSA) for enhanced PCIbus throughput from 533Mbit/s to 1.675Gbit/s.

CSA stores and retrieves data directly from/to the memory as well as prioritising Gigabit Ethernet connections (Intel 82547EI).

Together with an independent 266M-network I/O port offers a reduced CPU workload and improved data synchronisation management.

The mainboard is built with a number of prize-winning Easy technologies from QDI to include Pro-StepEasy for over-clocking, Pro-RecoveryEasy for data protection, Pro-UpdateEasy for BIOS updating and other value-added Easy technologies such as Pro-LogoEasy, BootEasy and BIOS-ProtectEasy.
