Following the recent release of Via's high performance Apollo KT600 chipset, QDI has added to its K7 series of motherboards with the KD7X/600 and K7VM400M.

Following the recent release of Via's high performance Apollo KT600 chipset, QDI has added to its K7 series of motherboards with the KD7X/600 and K7VM400M.

Harnessing Via's KT600 and VT8235 chipsets, the KD7X/600 supports all the Socket A of Athlon/AthlonXP/Duron microprocessors and DDR266/333/400MHz memories, with capacity up to 4Gbyte.

The board has a FSB up to 400MHz and boasts AGP8X for superior gaming.

Also incorporated onboard are three DIMM slots, six PCI slots, six USB 2.0 ports, two IDE ATA 133 and an optional CNR slot, as well as onboard six-channel audio.

A standard mATX board with superior graphics quality designed for the mainstream market, the K7VM400M incorporates Via's KM400/8235 chipset supporting DDR333/266MHz memories with capacity up to 2Gbyte.

The board features a FSB up to 333MHz and AGP8X.

Other features include six USB 2.0 ports (six onboard, two optional), two SATA (optional) and 5.1 channel audio.

Furthermore, south and north connection is via 8x speed V-Link technology, with a transmission of up to 533Mbyte/s to avoid snagged data access.

And with FastStream 64 memory control technology, a reduced reaction time can be assured.
