Probes aid AC measurement
LEM has developed a pair of AC-only current probes for use with oscilloscopes and other suitable recording instruments, allowing both an accurate and nonintrusive AC current measurement.
LEM has developed a pair of AC-only current probes for use with oscilloscopes and other suitable recording instruments, allowing both an accurate and nonintrusive AC current measurement The high-performance PR1230 and PR1235 probes, use the latest transformer technology to offer a wide dynamic range (of 100mA to 1200A RMS for the PR1230 and 10mA to 1200A RMS for the PR1235) and a broad bandwidth of 30Hz to 300kHz with 1% accuracy

Analyser helps solve power quality problems
The Topas 2000 is a power quality analyser for problem solving in both industrial and utility electrical power networks.
Load impedance is greater than 500kohm and less than 27pF.
Large capacity jaws enable the user to measure conductors of up to 54mm diameter or busbars up to 50 x 5mm.
The new probe design incorporates a novel safety feature for short-circuit protection - SIAC - which removes the need for the jaw tip protection necessary in other designs, giving the probes several distinct advantages.
These include easy access in space-restricted areas, no friction when closing the jaws, easy cleaning, and unlike classic protection, the SIAC ensures no probe wear, due to abrasion or shocks from conductors.
The PR1230 and PR1235 comply with the relevant parts of BS EN61010, safety standard IEC1010-2-032 600V RMS, Category III, Pollution degree 2 and EMC standard EN61326.
