Lemo has developed and patented a new range of push-pull hermaphroditic connectors that can employ either fibre optic or electrical contacts or combinations of both.

This means that when installing a long cable it is of no consequence which end is reeled out first These "genderless" ruggedised connectors combine Lemo's well proven push-pull latching technology with its standard high-quality optical and electrical contacts.

Each series consists of hermaphroditic plug with panel socket models which will accept cable diameters ranging from 3.6 to 10mm.

The initial programme offers configurations of 2, 4 or 6 fibre optic channel and 6 or 12 electrical contacts, but the modular structure of the Lemo range enables other options to be easily created.

The original and reliable push-pull Lemo connector design is easy for operators to use but is secure against accidental disconnection, and the precision construction provides a highly durable and aesthetically pleasing connector to enhance the appearance of customers' products.
