UBE leaves the UK to Link Microtek

Link Microtek, the specialist supplier of RF and microwave components, has been appointed as exclusive UK distributor for Japanese ceramic filter manufacturer UBE Electronics.

Link Microtek, the specialist supplier of RF and microwave components, has been appointed as exclusive UK distributor for Japanese ceramic filter manufacturer UBE Electronics.

Link Microtek will be supplying UBE's complete range of low-profile surface-mount filters and high-performance dielectric filters and duplexers, which are aimed primarily at telecommunications applications such as cellular basestations.

Commenting on the agreement between the two companies, Link Microtek's sales manager, Stuart Hendry, said: "The UBE surface-mount filter line is an ideal complement to our existing product portfolio.

UBE not only offers a comprehensive range of standard filter products, but they are also geared up to manufacturing custom designs in the shortest possible timescales".

According to Tatsuo Suho, who heads up UBE's operations in Europe, the company was attracted to Link Microtek because of its strong reputation for technical expertise in the area of wireless infrastructure.

"Our products are designed in by engineers, so we need people in the field who have a solid technical understanding", he said.
