The TGA2509 is an ultrawideband power amplifier MMIC that features built-in automatic gain control, world class electrical performance and an environmental robustness that makes it ideal for use in military and industrial applications as well as commercial digital radio systems Manufactured using TriQuint's proven 0.25-micron GaAs power pHEMT process with three-metal-layer interconnect (3MI) design technology, the TGA2509 operates over the frequency range 2-22GHz from a very compact footprint of less than 7.5mm2

The device delivers more than 1W of saturated power in the 2-16GHz band, providing 17dB of small-signal gain and an AGC range of greater than 25dB.

The TGA2509 is one of a new family of amplifiers that also includes the TGA2513 and TGA2512 wideband LNAs and the TGA4022 and TGA4517 high power amplifiers, all of which are rugged, high-performance devices designed for use in military and industrial applications.
