Optoelectronics focus for Clifton

Link Microtek, the Basingstoke-based supplier of RF and microwave components and subsystems, has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of Kevin Clifton as optoelectronics sales engineer.

Link Microtek, the Basingstoke-based supplier of RF and microwave components and subsystems, has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of Kevin Clifton as Optoelectronics Sales Engineer.

With his wide-ranging experience in the RF, microwave and optoelectronics markets, Clifton will primarily be handling the TriQuint Semiconductor portfolio of optoelectronics devices, for which Link Microtek is the exclusive representative in the UK and Ireland.

He joins Link from distributor Clere Electronic Components, where he held the position of Senior Product Application Engineer and was mainly involved with semiconductor franchises.

Prior to that, he had technical support roles with Ericsson Mobile Communications and Johanson Technology and also spent three years as a design engineer, working on the development of RF handsets.

As well as spearheading sales of Link Microtek's optoelectronics products, Clifton will also have general sales responsibilities for the company's other products in the west of the country.
