Link Microtek has a new double-ridged horn antenna that covers the wide frequency range 2 to 18GHz, making it suitable for a variety of measurements in EMC test applications.

Link Microtek has a new double-ridged horn antenna that covers the wide frequency range 2 to 18GHz, making it suitable for a variety of measurements in EMC test applications Designed and produced at Link's manufacturing facility in Basingstoke, the AM2-18HA is a versatile, linearly polarised horn antenna with a field strength capability of 250V/m at 1m and a low VSWR of typically 1.5:1

Equipped with a precision N-type female connector, the horn antenna has a high power handling capability of 200W and can be used as either transmitter or receiver.

Gain varies from 9 to 15dBi over the operating frequency range, with an antenna factor of 27 to 45dB/m.

Overall dimensions are specified as 240 x 145 x 250mm, and the AM2-18HA is supplied with a mounting bracket that allows easy selection of vertical, horizontal or 45-degree polarisation.

Also available to complement the AM2-18HA are two horn antennas covering the frequency ranges 0.2 to 2GHz and 18 to 40GHz.
