SAW filter offers low insertion loss for

Now available from RF and microwave component specialist Link Microtek is a low-loss surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter aimed at GPS applications.

Manufactured by Sawtek (a TriQuint company), the 856308 device offers a typical insertion loss of 1.0dB, with a maximum value of only 1.4dB The SAW filter has a centre frequency of 1575.42MHz with a usable bandwidth of 2MHz and a typical passband variation of just 0.25dB peak-to-peak

It features single-ended operation at 50 ohm and requires no impedance matching.

Supplied taped and reeled ready for automatic surface-mount assembly, the device is housed in a hermetically sealed ceramic chip-scale package measuring just 2.00 x 1.50 x 0.76mm and has an operating temperature range of -40 to +85C.
